Let’s face it. If you live in an area where summer is the best time, if not the only time, for you to get outside and enjoy your back yard, you want to find ways to make the most of your time and space. On hot, humid days, you want to be able to sit outside and enjoy conversation, food and/or drinks with family and friends. Thanks to technology this is now possible. It simply involves purchasing and installing a home patio misting system.

What Is a Patio Misting System?

A patio misting system is one of the easiest ways of reducing the humidity in your back or front yard patio. The misting system consists of a water supply, hoses or lines, nozzles and a pump. An alternative is a patio misting fan. Whatever the equipment used, the purpose of the patio misting system is to spray water into the air in the form of a fine mist. This cools and refreshes the surrounding air and area.

Types of Home Patio Misting Systems

You can find a wide variety of home patio misting systems for sale in stores and online. While they may be distinguished by fans or pumps, the characteristic worth serious consideration focuses on their water psi (pressure per square inch). There are three basic types of water pressure for misting systems. They are:

 * Low Pressure: These are the less expensive form of home patio misting system. They provide misting without a pump but the droplets are larger. While it is possible to get wet by using a low pressure misting system, this can be avoided by purchasing one that is of higher quality. Even then, it will prove to be cost-effective. As a result, it is a popular choice for patio cooling.

 * Mid Pressure: This type is neither as inexpensive as low pressure nor as expensive as high pressure misting systems. They offer a steady supply of mist and, the resultant cool air. It can be an excellent choice as an outdoor patio misting system.

 * High Pressure: These are best suited for large areas and wide, open spaces. Greenhouses, playgrounds, outdoor concerts and other events, and warehouses commonly use high pressure misting systems. Unless you have a large outdoor patio, this may not be the misting system for you. These systems require a pump in order to generate the smaller drops.

Enjoying Your Home Patio Misting System

It is easy to find a misting system that suits your budget. They come in a vast array of sizes and types. At its best, high end systems provide your patio with the comfort you need to escape the sweltering humidity of those warm summer months. Whether you want to play outdoors or relax on the patio, these systems provide you with the coolest means to make both types of outdoor fun enjoyable. Is it any wonder that outdoor home patio misting systems are now being relied upon to help put the fun back into outdoor pleasures?
