Why and How to Become a Surrogate

If you are considering becoming a surrogate for the money, think again. This is something that has been widely scrutinized. Agencies will no longer accept a surrogate who does not meet a certain financial criteria. The concern is that they will be at risk of having health problems and no medical insurance. If you are thinking of becoming a surrogate, you are likely a selfless person, who is truly generous. Becoming a parent requires a commitment to remain healthy for the sake of both you, the baby and its parents. It can be somewhat of a challenge when choosing to become a surrogate mother. You will have to deal with legal issues, emotional, physical and compensation issues. This process is easier with the help of an agency who specializes in surrogacy.

Why Become a Surrogate

Women who choose to be a surrogate in California do so because they may have had as many children as they can responsibly handle. If you have as many children as you would like, and enjoy the pregnancy experience, consider helping someone less fortunate. There are women who simply cannot have a baby. If you are a compassionate and a caring woman, who would like to help someone in this situation, surrogacy may be an option for helping them. Just imagine the joy you could bring to a couple who has tried unsuccessfully to have a baby on their own? Certainly, this is compelling enough for most of the women who have decided to become a surrogate. In addition to caring enough about someone else’s misfortune, you will receive compensation for your commitment. This is rarely the main intent for most women; it is merely an added bonus.
